Since it’s beginnings in 2007, community outreach has been an integral part of the mission of The Spirit Church whether it is through donations of food, clothing and funds to deserving individuals and organizations, or members volunteering their time to help others in their community. Please see the gallery for more information and images of the opportunities The Spirit Church has had to reach out to their community, including:
A generous donation in 2009 to Mission Ministries, to build a school building for the Children’s Church in Nairobi, Kenya.
Volunteers from The Spirit Church, and the NFL community assisting Service International and St. Louis Family Church in the 2011 tornado clean up effort in Sunset Hills and collecting donated blankets, heaters, and tarps for the damaged roofs.
The very first Spirit Church community health fair, held in January 2011. There were many representatives on hand from the health community with various booths and exhibits providing information on overall health including crisis intervention for victims of family violence, sexual abuse, SIDS prevention, and assisted home heath consultants.
Also in 2011, Pastor Aeneas and many members of The Spirit Church became active in assisting in the St. Louis School System. Pastor Aeneas spoke to groups of students at Roosevelt, Riverview, and Vachon High School. He also assisted a group of leader in keeping Soldan High School open. Many of the members of The Spirit Church serve as mentors to public school students involved in the K-Life Organization.
